On November 3, HPCL reported a loss of Rs 2,172.14 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year, which was behind its previous highest quarterly loss of Rs 10,196.94 crore in April-June. According to the notice, BPCL’s loss for the July-September quarter was Rs 304.17 crore. In the first quarter, there was a loss of Rs 6,263.05 crore.

The combined loss of the companies for the first half of the current financial year was 21,201.18 crore rupees. IOC contributed Rs 10,800 crore towards the LPG subsidy received from the government after the end of the last quarter, while HPCL received Rs 5,617 crore. 5,582 crores of cash grant to BPCL.

Similarly, BPCL incurred a loss of Rs 6,567.22 crore during this period. In April-September 2021, it made a profit of 6,033.82 crore rupees and it earned a profit of 11,363.55 crore rupees in 2021-22.

At the same time, HPCL incurred a loss of Rs 12,369.08 crore in the last period. In the entire financial year 2021-22, the company’s turnover was 6,282.63 crore rupees. In April-September 2021, it had a profit of Rs 3,718.51 crore.
