RBI has taken this action after the death of Monica Devi, a pregnant woman in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, who was forcibly taken under the wheels of a tractor by the recovery agents. After that, a 26-year-old man, Roshan Singh, was arrested by the Hazaribagh police. According to Hazaribagh SP Manoj Ratan Chhote, Roshan Singh is a third party vendor who used to collect money for this finance company.

According to the agency’s report, a member of the deceased’s family said that the agents had sent a message to Mithilesh on the phone to pay off a loan of 1.30 lakh rupees.
